Problem
Due to complex stowage rules and seaworthiness requirements, more than 10% of all container shipping slots often remain unused.
SOLUTION
Sealytix provides advanced AI-powered stowage algorithms to help carriers maximize their yield, by selecting the optimal mix of cargo that is most profitable and best fits the vessel.
The online software solution seamlessly integrates with customer's sales systems, capacity management systems, and stowage planning systems.
Sealytix has implemented a PoC with a large Danish carrier documenting a 5-8% additional revenue for each vessel, resulting in a four times higher profit margin in normal pre-Covid years.
KEY CUSTOMERS AND INTERNATIONAL PRESENCE
Sealytix is currently engaged with CMA CGM, Unifeeder, Xpress Feeders, ONE, and various smaller carriers.
Team
The team behind Sealytix is highly skilled, with half the employees having a PhD in computer science. In addition, they have a sales team of domain experts and an application team with deep knowledge about maritime software such as loading computers.
Unique selling point
Sealytix is the only company offering revenue management in the carrier segment based on real vessel capacity as simulated by our algorithms.
Asia Connection
Sealytix is currently implementing a PoC with Express Feeders in Singapore and HMM in Korea, and are planning a PoC with ONE, a Japanese carrier with HQ in Singapore. They are also in dialogue with COSCO and in the process of reaching out to Evergreen. Sealytix is looking for additional clients and funding across East Asia.
