The global transport sector, and specifically road transportation, is responsible for vast amounts of carbon emissions, making it one of the biggest culprits in the climate crisis. Though electric vehicles are alleviating this challenge, the expensive, short-lived batteries are severely hampering the shift to a greener mobility industry. Furthermore, current batteries employed in electric vehicles are particularly large and heavy.
SOLUTION
Elonroad’s electrical road system allows all types of electric vehicles to charge while driving, operating or being parked. The cable-free, universal charging infrastructure significantly extends the distance range available to electric vehicles, and generally accelerates the commercial accessibility to sustainable transportation solutions for a wide range of consumers. Their solution enables users of smaller, lighter and cheaper batteries.
KEY CUSTOMERS AND INTERNATIONAL PRESENCE
Elonroad’s electric roads can be used on public roads, in terminals or other types of closed-loops, making both the public sector as well as private companies their primary customers.Recently, Elonroad got a project extended by the Swedish Transport Administration to build a pioneering test and demonstration site in the city of Lund.
