Problem

Building Information Modeling (BIM) has greatly enhanced the efficiency of engineering and construction projects by increasing productivity, reducing rework, and avoiding errors. However, many teams lack the tools to collaborate effectively, leading to frustrating and expensive delays.

SOLUTION

Catenda has developed Bimsync, a common data environment (CDE) platform based on open standards (IFC and BCF). The cloud-based CDE allows all actors of a construction project to collaborate efficiently, from design to commissioning of the building. Within Bimsync project members can:

- Manage your models: organize, federate and visually control your 2D or 3D plan models.
- Manage your issues: create, import, organize and collaborate through issues.
- Manage your documents: share, comment and view your documents, then link them to your models.

Teams can save up to 50 hours per week thanks to more efficient workflow, and reduce emails by up to 80%.

KEY CUSTOMERS & INTERNATIONAL PRESENCE

With over 150 customers worldwide, including Kajima, Takenaka in Japan, Hamad Airport in Qatar, China State Construction Engineering in China, Veidekke in Scandinavia, Bouygues Immobilier in France, Bimsync remains one of the leading collaborative project management solutions.

The open Common Data Environment is sold all around the world through resellers (Spain, Hungary, Poland,Netherlands, South Africa China). The company would like to expand and is therefore looking for new partners.

Team

The catenda team is made up of 30 people, working around the world (Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, USA, UK, Poland), led by Einar Gudmundsson (CEO).
