Each year 16 million patients are harmed and 200,000 patients die from an infection they acquire during their treatment in a healthcare setting. The main reason is that healthcare workers wash their hands less than half the times they are supposed to. However, because it is impossible to measure hand hygiene compliance, it becomes a challenge to do anything about it.
SOLUTION
Sani Nudge provides a data-driven hand hygiene measuring solution that provides actionable insights on healthcare worker's hand hygiene. Comparable to a Fitbit, the Sani Nudge system gradually changes their habits for the better, ensuring that they do not harm themselves or patients during their workday. The solution is low-cost, easy to implement, and can scale infinitely to solve the challenge of healthcare-associated infections, staff absenteeism, and antibiotic resistance, which is expected to be one of the biggest threat to humanity in the future.
